I'm no IFBB Pro. I'm not a nutritionist. I hold no degrees in kinesiology. I'm not a personal trainer nor do I claim to have all (or any) of the secret answers when it comes to #fitness.
What I do have, is longevity and the ability to listen and learn. I'm teachable. I enjoy learning. I was not gifted with freaky good genetics. Most people are not.
What most people do have however, is the ability. The ability to achieve. Something. Anything. Measurable success, no matter how small. Each of us contain that.
I've learned though, over these last two years, in #bodybuilding
or just life in general, that progress only happens when you let it. Not only when you are working your ass off, but when you are mentally prepared to accept the process, as #progress.
I've written plenty about octopamine blocking your ability to focus, crippling your long term vision and ability to channel your positive energies, blinding you from being able to see the biggest picture of them all: peace of mind.
I promise you this, if I have learned anything resembling a secret to #gains
or improving my #physique,
setting and achieving #goals,
or just waking up with a thankful heart and renewed vigor to start my day. If I've learned anything like that, it's that taking care of your head and psychological health, the wellness of your soul, is the true path to success. Without peace, you are only fighting yourself. The world already wants to break you down, be damned if you help it kill you. Kill it first. With fire. #armday
