●PROTEIN: It is an essential macronutrient. Protein is the building block of all cells, including the cells that make up your skin and hair.
The daily recommendation is 1-1.5 g/kg body weight/day minimum of 60gm/day. Lacking the requirement could leave you with thinning hair.
*Non veg protein source -Meat, fish, eggs, poultry are rich sources of protein but high in fat.
Lean meat, egg white, skimmed milk, non fat cheese are rich sources of protein but low in fat. *Veg protein source -Legumes, nuts, soy, grains, pumpkin seeds, almonds, cottage cheese
Broccoli, green peas, spinach, and skimmed milk.
●VITAMIN A- Animal products and orange/yellow coloured vegetables which are high in beta-carotene such as carrots, papaya, pumpkins and sweet potatoes. ●VITAMIN E- Nuts, Avocados, Seeds. ●VITAMIN C- Blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries, sweet potatoes. ●BOTIN- Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin. Helps to cure hair fall. Includes- wholegrain, egg yolk, soy flour, yeast. ●COPPER- Includes- Sesame Seeds, Nuts, Soy Foods, Sea Foods. ●IRON- Iron is an especially important mineral for hair and too little iron is a major cause of hair loss. Include a vitamin C rich food when eating foods high in iron and the iron will be absorbed better. Includes Dates, Spinach, Beans.
