EDITOR PICKS: ASHEVILLE | What do locals love about Asheville, North Carolina? According to @tsgasheville Editor Meagan Harris, “Asheville has the feel of a small town, but with art, music, and food and drink scenes that rival those of a bigger city. No matter what part of town you are in, you will be immersed in art. You can spend hours in downtown galleries like @MomentumGallery, or exploring the vibrant murals and galleries in West Asheville and The River Arts District, where you will find artists working in their studios on a regular basis (we love visiting @cheyennetrunnell and @mollycourcellefineartist at The Wedge Gallery). Music is everywhere in Asheville, and you just never know who might show up for a live concert. There are so many incredible restaurants in town, it actually makes deciding where to go difficult at times, but @capellaon9 has a new spring menu that is a must-try while enjoying a rooftop cocktail and a great view. This probably goes without saying, but our craft beer scene is a bit of a “thing!” Celebrating 25 years this May, Asheville’s original brewery, @highlandbrewing, is one of our favorites. It’s a great place to bring family and friends because there is always something happening, from a pop-up @purebarreasheville class to live bands in the Meadow. Places like @antidote, the Nordic-style bath house @badabastu828, and @wakefootsanctuary make leaving downtown and the South Slope difficult, but within a matter of minutes you can be off exploring along the Blue Ridge Parkway to take in those breathtaking views and epic sunsets.” Connect with Meagan and learn more about @tsgasheville via the link in bio.
