“Shut up legs. You are fine.” That phrase was literally on repeat during this workout. During my single leg dumbbell deadlifts, my legs were shaking throughout. I was only using 10 pounders on each side, but dang, I was beat. I guess you know your busting out a good workout when your legs are wiggling like Jello 😁. Выступление Руслана @petrushkin_ruslan_powerlifter на Чемпионате России СПР получилось не совсем однозначным. Присед прошёл отлично, все три попытки в зачёт и личный рекорд 320кг, плюсом 15кг к результату показанному 2 месяца назад. В жиме закончил с результатом 205кг, в очередной раз повторив своё лучшее достижение. Но в жиме и по ходу подготовки были сложности, плюс во втором подходе немного дернуло грудь в опускании поэтому и подход вышел немного корявым и от третьей попытки пришлось отказаться. Тяга преподнесла неприятный сюрприз - не получалось попасть в движение как надо и подвели руки, во втором подходе 280кг упали, в третьем прям впритирку получилось зафиксировать этот же вес. Ситуация обидна тем что именно в тяге был готов как никогда, но с реализацией вышли проблемы. Но подводя итог - в сумме получилось добавить 10кг за 2 месяца, движение вперёд есть, потенциал есть, над чем работать известно. Так что все хорошо, прём дальше!

Now time to build on the foundations we have put in place and see these numbers grow 😎

Squat- 112.5kg
Deadlift- 152.5kg 
My progression with these does not come in leaps and bounds. It’s being focused and very precise work on moving more efficiently with the heavier weights.

Although still plenty of room to grow, I have never squatted or deadlifted as well as I am now. That’s amazing progress to me.

Messed up the camera angle on this a bit but you get the gist.

Treat you warm up sets, as you would a max effort lift. Go through the same cues, make sure you brace the same as you would if you’re attempting a 1rm, make sure your breathing is the same as if you were attempting a 1rm.

1. Going through your warm up in this manner, will lead to your working sets feeling so much better, how often have you got to your 1st working set and it felt like shit because you’re taking a set trying to warm up your brace and getting used to breathing again.

2. So may injuries occur during warm up sets, the amount of times I’ve seen someone blow their low back on a warm up deadlift or bent over row because they jump in without going through their usual cues!

Train smart and make sure you actually use those warm ups to prepare yourself for the big lift, by treating your warm up as a big lift!

Эта тема очень меня интересует и я последнее время углубилась в ее изучение. 
Практически все люди рано или поздно предпринимают попытку похудеть, но не у всех это получается. Ученые утверждают, что куда принципиальнее силы воли на результат порой влияет наше ДНК.

Наши гены делают нас теми, кто мы есть, и определяют, как наше тело реагирует на попытки похудеть. От 25 до 70% факторов, влияющих на массу тела, определяются ДНК: это и способность к насыщению, и уровень аппетита и как наше тело сжигает калории.

Два распространенных варианта генов, связанных с ожирением, – это FTO (ген, связанный с ожирением) и MC4R (рецептор меланокортина-4, регулирующий аппетит). Обладатели этих генов имеют более высокий риск ожирения, чем те, у кого нет ни одного из них.

Также на набор массы тела влияют такие факторы:
1.  Белок и жир
Довольно популярным методом похудения является снижение потребления углеводов и переход на высокобелковое питание. Однако, исследования показали, что только часть люди с определенным генным профилем могут похудеть (снизить аппетит и сбросить лишний вес) на диете с высоким содержанием белка. Для других это не будет иметь решающего значения, а также может быть лишней нагрузкой на организм. Также ваше ДНК определяет, будете ли вы вероятнее худеть на диете с низким содержанием жира (особенно насыщенных жиров). 2.  Жареная пища
Жирная жареная пища не только вредна для всего организма, но и существенно повышает риск развития ожирения. Некоторые исследователи считают, что предрасположенность к употреблению жареной пищи (и соответственно увеличение риска ожирения) заложено генетически.

3.  Вкус
Предпочтения в питании также в немалой степени определяются нашими генами – гены человека играют роль в том, как он воспринимает вкусовые качества продуктов (соленость, горечь), что предопределяет, какие продукты будут преобладать в рационе. Также на вкусовые рецепторы влияют пищевые привычки и традиции региона.

4.  Другие факторы генной предрасположенности, влияющие на наши тела: к примеру, ведутся исследования по выявлению взаимосвязи между генами и метаболизмом.

Практически все люди рано или поздно предпринимают попытку похудеть, но не у всех это получается. Ученые утверждают, что куда принципиальнее силы воли на результат порой влияет наше ДНК.

Наши гены делают нас теми, кто мы есть, и определяют, как наше тело реагирует на попытки похудеть. От 25 до 70% факторов, влияющих на массу тела, определяются ДНК: это и способность к насыщению, и уровень аппетита и как наше тело сжигает калории.

Два распространенных варианта генов, связанных с ожирением, – это FTO (ген, связанный с ожирением) и MC4R (рецептор меланокортина-4, регулирующий аппетит). Обладатели этих генов имеют более высокий риск ожирения, чем те, у кого нет ни одного из них.

Также на набор массы тела влияют такие факторы:
1. Белок и жир
Довольно популярным методом похудения является снижение потребления углеводов и переход на высокобелковое питание. Однако, исследования показали, что только часть люди с определенным генным профилем могут похудеть (снизить аппетит и сбросить лишний вес) на диете с высоким содержанием белка. Для других это не будет иметь решающего значения, а также может быть лишней нагрузкой на организм. Также ваше ДНК определяет, будете ли вы вероятнее худеть на диете с низким содержанием жира (особенно насыщенных жиров). 2. Жареная пища
Жирная жареная пища не только вредна для всего организма, но и существенно повышает риск развития ожирения. Некоторые исследователи считают, что предрасположенность к употреблению жареной пищи (и соответственно увеличение риска ожирения) заложено генетически.

3. Вкус
Предпочтения в питании также в немалой степени определяются нашими генами – гены человека играют роль в том, как он воспринимает вкусовые качества продуктов (соленость, горечь), что предопределяет, какие продукты будут преобладать в рационе. Также на вкусовые рецепторы влияют пищевые привычки и традиции региона.

4. Другие факторы генной предрасположенности, влияющие на наши тела: к примеру, ведутся исследования по выявлению взаимосвязи между генами и метаболизмом.

So i have entered the phase in my program that requires me to do pin squats.
So stoked as as struggled with 110kg not long ago..now 140kg flys at an rpe of 9 !!😨. Strength comes from above 🙏.
1. Pin squats (top set)
140kg 1+2F sets x 2 reps at 9 RPE.
2. Pin squats (drop set)
130kg 3 sets x 4 reps at 8 RPE.
3. Accessories/hypertrophy. Getting back into it. 😌
